GALLOWAY, NJ -- Stockton took down Rowan, 59-48, Wednesday evening in a New Jersey Athletic Conference showdown.
Kate Herlihy paced the Profs with 15 points while
Eliana Santana added 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds, but Rowan, who led 43-39, after the third quarter, shot just 12% in the final frame.
For the Ospreys, Grace Speer led the home team with 19 points, six rebounds, and four blocks, while hitting three of the team's five three pointers. Stockton outscored Rowan, 20-5, in the fourth quarter.
Herlihy scored the first seven points for the Profs in the first quarter, finishing with nine in the first 10 minutes to help Rowan to a 16-14. In the second, Rowan got out to its biggest lead of the contest (23-14) at the midway point of the stanza. Stockton whittled the visitor's lead to just three at the break, 26-23.
Speer's triple late in the third gave the Ospreys its first lead (39-38) since early in the contest.
Shayla Johnson finished a three-point play and later a bucket from Santana restored the edge as the teams entered the final period.
Next up for the Profs is a home date with William Paterson this Saturday, January 20th in a 1 p.m. start.
