Women's Lacrosse Rolls to 10th Win, Defeating Farmingdale State, 17-3, on Senior Night

Senior Night Highlights

GLASSBORO, NJ – Elaina Corson scored four goals and Jamie Cutrera and Erin Renshaw had three each as Rowan defeated Farmingdale State, 17-3, in women's lacrosse action on Senior Night to up its record to 10-4.
 
Prior to the game, Rowan honored its seniors – co-captain Julianna Corson, Jamie Cutrera, Michaela Donnelly, Olivia Elwell, Erin Renshaw, Mel Rodgers, Erin Scioli, Reilly Shaup, Shelby Tanner and Maddy Winch.
 
Corson had five points in the game while Julianna Corson had a goal and assist to total four points, with Renshaw and Cutrera each adding one assist to their tallies.
 
Rowan jumped out to a commanding 9-0 lead in the first quarter as it scored six goals in the first five minutes. Renshaw, Donnelly and Elaina Corson led the way with two apiece.
 
Farmingdale State got on the board in the second, with a goal by Ashley Codispoti at 12:12. Elaina Corson started the scoring again for the Profs, taking a pass from Renshaw, with Molly Green chipping in with one just 12 seconds later. Cutrera connected on back-to-back goals, first with a free position goal and then one assisted by Julianna Corson. Renshaw tallied her 30th goal of the year with 1:47 remaining in the half.
 
Senior Shelby Tanner netted her first goal of the year to start the scoring in the third quarter, with Cutrera handing out the assist. Trish Gillen added one with 5:37 remaining after taking a pass from Calista Burke.
 
Codispoti netted another for the Rams, with Elaina Corson finishing out the scoring as the freshman scored her 35th of the season.
 
Shaup and Rodgers split time in goal for Rowan with Shaup needing to make just one save as Rowan outshot the Rams, 39-6.
 
The Profs resume conference play when they travel to Kean on Saturday for a matchup at 1 p.m.
