CHESTERTOWN, MD - Washington College scored four consecutive goals in the final quarter to earn a 10-7 win over Rowan (2-2) in women's lacrosse action, despite a team-high three goals from the Profs'
Jamie Cutrera.

With the contest tied, 6-6, heading into the fourth, the Shorewomen rattled off four straight, including two man-up goals in a row by Abby Laubach and Morgan Sutherland, at 9:29 and 6:12, respectively. The Profs were able to get one more by Cutrera with 2:46 to play but it wasn't enough to erase the four-goal deficit.

The game was close throughout and the teams were tied, 2-2, after the first quarter as Rowan got goals from Cutrera, assisted by
Molly Green, and by
Elaina Corson.

Washington College (3-2) outscored the Profs, 3-2, in the second quarter to take a slim 5-4 halftime lead.
Calista Burke scored both of Rowan's goals in the quarter, with the first one assisted by Green.

Rowan rallied from a two-goal deficit, 6-4, to tie it by the end of the third. Cutrera scored an unassisted goal with three minutes left in the period and then fed
Fiona Lockhart for a man-up goal with 1:40 to play that knotted the game at 6-6.

Washington outshot the Profs, 28-20, while Rowan goalie
Reilly Shaup tied her career-high with 16 saves in the game.

The Profs will return to action in a week on their annual Spring Break trip to Florida. Rowan will play Clarkson on March 15 at Saint Leo University, and then take on Western New England on March 17 at Webber University.
