SAINT LEO, FL – 
Elaina Corson and 
Erin Renshaw scored five goals apiece to lead the Rowan women's lacrosse team to a 21-14 win over Clarkson played at Saint Leo University. It marked the highest offensive output of the season for the Profs (3-2) as they handed Clarkson (5-1) its first loss of the year.
 
Corson handed out two assists apiece as did 
Hannah Lombardo, who had four goals, while 
Michaela Donnelly added three.
 
Clarkson took the early lead, 3-1, but the teams were tied, 4-4, by the end of the first quarter after two goals from Lombardo and one apiece from 
Molly Green and Corson.
 
Green, Corson and Donnelly gave Rowan three straight to open the second quarter, as the Profs built up a 7-4 lead. Clarkson followed with three straight but then the teams were tied twice more until Lombardo added one and Jamie Cutreta scored a goal with:01 left to give Rowan a 10-8 halftime lead.
 
After Clarkson scored the first goal of the second half, the Profs countered with four in a row, from 
Julianna Corson, two from Renshaw and one from Donnelly, to take a 14-9 advantage. Although Clarkson pulled to within 14-12, Donnelly closed out the quarter with a tally, assisted by Green.
 
Rowan scored six consecutive goals to start the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach, taking a 21-12 lead.
Renshaw started the scoring, followed by Lombardo and three in a row by 
Elaina Corson, with Renshaw closing it out. Cutrera had a pair of assists in the quarter.
 
Rowan will play one more game in Florida, taking on Western New England on Friday with the game played at Webber University.
