Women's Lacrosse Closes Out Florida Trip with Second Win, 19-9, over Western New England

Michaela Donnelly and Julianna Corson score three goals apiece

BABSON PARK, FL- Michaela Donnelly and Julianna Corson scored three goals apiece to lead Rowan to a 19-9 win over Western New England in women's lacrosse action today at Webber University. The Profs (5-2) conclude their Florida trip with a pair of wins.
 
Also adding to the scoring totals with two goals apiece were Jamie Cutrera, Erin Renshaw, Hannah Lombardo, Elaina Corson and Molly Green. Donnelly scored three goals for the second consecutive game, matching her season-high, while Julianna Corson handed out three assists to give her a six-point game.
 
The Profs took a 4-1 lead in the first quarter, with goals from Lombardo, Donnelly, Calista Burke and Elaina Corson.
 
Rowan added three straight to start the second quarter, as Green, Donnelly and Julianna Corson found the back of the net. After a goal by Cutrera, Western New England (3-4) cut the deficit to 8-3, but the Profs answered with another three scores from Green, Fiona Lockhart and Corson, assisted by her younger sister, Elaina, as Rowan led 11-3 at halftime.
 
The Profs outscored Western New England, 5-3, in the third quarter, withtwo goals from Renshaw, and one each from Cutrera, Donnelly and Elaina Corson.
 
Leading 16-6 heading into the fourth, Rowan finished out the game with a trio of goals from Julianna Corson, Lombardo and Leah Corkhill.
 
Reilly Shaup was solid in net for the Profs as she made 11 saves, while Mel Rodgers came in relief late in the game and made one.
 
Rowan returns North and will play at Scranton on Wednesday before hosting Stevenson on Saturday at 1 p.m.
