Renshaw, Corson Lead Women's Lacrosse to 16-11 Win at Scranton for Third Straight Win

SCRANTON, PA – Erin Renshaw had five goals and Julianna Corson scored four to lead Rowan to a 16-11 win at Scranton in women's lacrosse action. The victory is the third straight for the Profs, who are now 5-2.
 
Corson added three assists for her second consecutive game with seven points, and Renshaw handed out an assist to total six points. Jamie Cutrera, Molly Green and Michaela Donnelly had two goals apiece for the Profs.
 
Rowan got off to a fast start, taking a 5-1 lead in the first quarter. Renshaw and Cutrera scored the first two goals of the game and after Scranton countered with one, the Profs tallied three straight, one by Donnelly and a pair from Julianna Corson, with the second assisted by her younger sister, Elaina.
 
Scranton cut the Prof lead to 5-3 early in the second quarter but Rowan scored three in a row from Cutrera, Renshaw and Donnelly to take an 8-3 advantage. The Royals added another before more goals came from Elaina Corson, followed by Julianna Corson, then Renshaw, with the assist from Donnelly, to give Rowan an 11-4 lead at halftime.

Julianna Corson started the scoring for Rowan in the third quarter and Green tallied two, while Renshaw scored one as the Profs took a 15-7 lead by the end of the period
 
Renshaw teamed up with the elder Corson for Rowan's 16th goal of the game while Scranton outscored the Profs, 4-1, in the fourth quarter to provide the final margin.
 
Goalie Reilly Shaup was called on to make five saves with the Profs holding a 34-26 advantage in shots.
 
The Profs return home on Saturday when they take on Stevenson at 1 p.m. followed by a game against Cabrini on Wednesday, March 29th.
