GLASSBORO, NJ – The 2023 Rowan University football schedule features six home contests, including three night games, with the Profs kicking off the season on Thursday, August 31 against Stevenson at 6 p.m. Additionally, this season will mark the debut of the new Pride of the Profs Marching Band, which will perform at games.
"Our players and coaches are anxiously waiting for the Pride of the Profs to be performing at our home games in the fall," said
Jay Accorsi, who will enter his 22nd season as Rowan's head coach. "The newly formed university marching band, under the direction of Megan Cooney, adds another dimension to our game-day experience. I cannot wait for our fans, and especially our students, to be treated to an element that exists at the finest college football games in the country."
SCHEDULE
Once the Profs start the year with the first-ever meeting with Stevenson on "Youth Night", Rowan will travel to McDaniel College on September 9 at 1 p.m., also for the first game between the two programs.
Rowan will be back at Coach Richard Wackar Stadium on Saturday, September 16, hosting Ursinus for "Saturday Night Lights", with a 6 p.m. start time. More info is to come on the evening's activities for fans.
After a bye week on September 23, the Profs will be back at home on Saturday, September 30 for Family Weekend when they meet Johns Hopkins, which was ranked 21st in the final D3football.com poll, at 1 p.m.
Conference play begins on Saturday, October 7 at TCNJ, with a 1 p.m. start and will continue with two consecutive weekends at home.
The Profs will host Christopher Newport for the annual Homecoming game on Saturday, October 14, with a 2 p.m. start, and will follow that by hosting Salisbury on Saturday, October 21 at 1 p.m.
Rowan travels to NJAC rivals for the next two weekends, facing Montclair State on October 28 in a 5 p.m. start and then visiting Kean on Saturday, November 4 with a 1 p.m. kickoff.
The Profs will close out the season with their annual "Military Appreciation Night" and "Senior Night" on Friday, November 10 with a 7 p.m. start at Coach Wackar Stadium.
