GLASSBORO, NJ - Senior
Julianna Corson tied her career-high with four goals to help Rowan (2-0) to a 16-7 win over Drew in the Profs' home opener at the Rowan Soccer and Lacrosse Complex.
Corson also added an assist in the win with
Jamie Cutrera and
Michaela Donnelly each scoring three goals.
Molly Green scored two goals and
Trish Gillen had two goals and three assists,
Cutrera scored the first two goals quickly and the Profs built up a 6-0 lead in six minutes as Donnelly, Gillen, Corson and Green added tallies. Despite a goal by the visitors with 5:14 left in the quarter, the Profs added three more – by Green, Corson and
Fiona Lockhart - to take a 9-1 lead by the end of the quarter.
Drew outscored Rowan, 2-1, in the second quarter, as Corson had the lone goal, assisted by Green.
The Profs added three more in the third quarter, as Donnelly and Gillen each scored their second goals of the game, and Corson posted her fourth. Drew netted two but Rowan still held a decisive 13-5 advantage.
Drew opened the final quarter with back-to-back goals, before the Profs finished off the win with scores from Donnelly, Cutrera and
Erin Renshaw.

The Profs are back at home again on Saturday when they host Stevens at 1 p.m.
