STATEN ISLAND, NY -- A top 10 Division III mark from the 4x400 relay team and a bevy of personal records highlighted Rowan at the Metropolitan Championships on Friday at the Ocean Breeze Complex.

RESULTS

Molly Lodge, Jasmine Broadway, Kat Pedersen, Nevaeh Lorjuste turned in a season-best time of 3:57.39 to rank #9 in Division III.

Anna Sasse (2.19.86), Gabriella Pagano (2.23.44) and Robin Collura (2.23.49) set personal records in the 800 meters and were a part of the 4x800 team with Sha'Lynn Clarke that recorded a time of 9.51.26 to finish second.

Sasse also ran a personal best of 5.12.68 in the mile.  

Pedersen was also fourth in the 400 meters, setting a new personal record (58.47), while teammate Cammy Wright finished fourth in the 3000 meters, with PR time of 11.26.56.

As a team, Rowan finished in fifth overall at the event with 51 points. St. John's was the team winner, accumulating 155 points.

Next weekend, the team will be in action in three events beginning on Friday with the Valentine Invitational at Boston University and at the FastTrack National Invitational back up at Ocean Breeze. On Saturday, the squad heads to Reading, Pa. for the Alvernia Plex Shootout.
