Women's Swimming Splits Tri-Meet with Monclair State and Ramapo

MONTCLAIR, NJ -- The Rowan Women's Swimming Team split a tri-meet at Montclair State on Friday, defeating Ramapo, 202-58, but falling to the host Red Hawks, 173-87.

COMPLETE RESULTS

Ella Pennington won multiple events for the third meet in a row. The sophomore captured the 50 backstroke (27.47), 100 backstroke (58.64), and 100 fly (59.12). The Profs also had a winner in Trisha Lau in the 500 free (5:24.89).

Pennington was part of the 200 medley relay along with Madeline Seybold, Barbara Mora, and Laura Jones that was second (1:52.61). Jones teamed with Natalina Baldinazzo, Kailey Sheehan, and Kaitlyn Crouthamel in the 200 free relay for a second-place finish (1:45.58).

Montclair State took down the Roadrunners, 207-53.

The team returns to action the weekend of January 19-20, 2024 as the Profs battle The College of New Jersey in a two-day dual meet. The two teams meet in Ewing on Friday, the 19th before concluding action here at the Tony Lisa Natatorium on Saturday, the 20th.
