UNION, NJ – Kean scored three straight goals to pick up a 3-1 win over Rowan in NJAC men's soccer action today, in a game that was rescheduled from two weeks ago. The Profs are now 4-2-4 and 2-1 in the conference.
Ryan Gale gave the Profs a lead in the first half with an unassisted goal at 32:38 for his second of the year.
Kean then tallied two goals within 30 seconds apart in the final minutes of the first half to overtake the Profs. Donte East scored at 41:05 and Balla Diaite netted the eventual gamewinner at 41:35, as Kean grabbed a 2-1 lead.
Diaite scored an insurance goal for Kean in the 71st minute to seal the win and keep the Cougars unbeaten while ending the Profs' streak of shutoutsat two matches.
The teams were even in shots on goal, 5-5, and
Dylan Aportela made two saves in the net for Rowan.
The Profs will be at home on Saturday night to host third-ranked Montclair State in a key NJAC matchup. Game time is 7 p.m.
