GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan Men's Swimming remained unbeaten in NJAC action as the Profs took down Ramapo, 207-55, Saturday afternoon at the Tony Lisa Natatorium on Senior Day.
FINAL RESULTS
Prior to the meet, the team and coaching staff took time to honor the program's four seniors:
Matt DeGennaro,
Rocco Evangelista,
Robert Gagnon, and
Joe Rucci as well as a special recognition to fifth year
Kevin Yanagisawa who is completing his eligibility this season.
The Profs took first place in 13 of 14 events on the day led by Michael Fracchiola, who claimed three top times in the 200 fly (2:00.06), 200 breast (2:11.14), and 200 IM (1:58.71).Â
DeGennaro picked up a win in the 50 free (22.09) with Rucci in second (22.52). Rucci was also on the winning 200 medley relay team (1:36.62) along with
Tobias Cahnbley,
T.J. Moderski, and
Paul Riter.
Gagnon was victorious in the 500 free (4:59.54) with
Nico Andrianto taking the 1000 free (10:23.87). Evangelista was in action in the 200 IM (2:03.57) and the 200 free relay (1:31.40)
Justin Goglia claimed first place in the 200 free (1:51.05) with Yanagisawa in second (1:51.30). Goglia added a second-place showing in the 100 back (55.95), which was won by Cahnbley (52.56).
Other first-place finishes include Riter winning the 100 free (47.22),
Brandon McMahon in 200 back (2:00.88), and
Henry Lynch in the 100 fly (53.57).
Andriato and Lynch were part of the 200 free relay squad of
Andrew Dang,
Danny Dubij, taking first in a time of 1:30.62.
Rowan can capture back-to-back NJAC Championships with a win in two weeks when the Profs visit TCNJ on Saturday, January 28th.
