CORTLAND, NY – The Rowan men's soccer team's two-game winning streak came to an end as #17 Cortland jumped out to a 3-0 lead en route to a 3-1 win this evening. The Profs are now 3-3-1 on the season.
 
The Red Dragons (4-2) wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as they scored 2:44 into the match when Mateo Marra put a shot inside the right post.
 
Cortland added another five minutes into the second half and then the third, 10 minutes later at 60:39.
 
Freshman Mason Martelloni got the Profs on the board less than two minutes later with his first career goal, as he put in a loose ball.
 
Cortland outshot Rowan, 19-11, with Prof goalkeeper Tomas Lazicki needing to make seven saves in the match.
 
After three straight games on the road, the Profs return home on Saturday, September 17, to host Mount St. Vincent at 7 p.m.
