HAVERFORD, PA - Freshman Cole Hayman made the first goal of his career the game winner as Rowan (3-2-1) defeated Lycoming, 1-0, in the Jimmy Mills Classic. The Profs won both games in the tournament by 1-0 scores.
The victory gave head coach Scott Baker his 100th at Rowan, as the 1993 alum has posted a 100-42-9 record since 2014. Along the way, Baker has guided the Profs to five NCAA Tournament appearances.
Hayman scored right away, at just 9:50 into the match, when he took a pass from Chad Yates and rocketed a shot from outside the box, past Lycoming keeper Nick Wilke.
Rowan dominated the match, outshooting the Warriors, 20-4, and recording five shots on goal and holding Lycoming (2-1-2) without any.
Chay Kaplan did not have to make a save in order to record his first shutout as a Prof.
Rowan returns to action on Wednesday when it heads to Cortland.
