MAHWAH, NJ –
Ashley Lechliter had three goals and five assists and
Molly Green and
Elise Cohan each scored four goals as Rowan rolled over Ramapo, 20-2, in NJAC women's lacrosse action today. The Profs improved to 5-7 and 1-1 in the league.
Erin Renshaw handed out a career-high five assists while Green, a freshman, marked a season-high in goals and handed out two assists. It was also a career-high in assists for Lechliter.
Hannah Lombardo netted a pair of goals with the Profs also getting goals from
Jamie Cutrera,
Sophia Schiavo,
Julianna Corson,
Maddy Winch,
Calista Burke,
Molly Horner and
Chloe Shea.
Rowan scored 17 consecutive goals, as Profs' goalie
Reilly Shaup and the defense kept Ramapo off the board until the fourth quarter, with Shaup making seven saves on the day.
The Profs had an 11-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and then 13-0 at halftime as Winch and Lombardo scored the only goals of that period.
Green tallied two in the third quarter, with Corson adding the third to put Rowan up by 16-0. Although they gave up two goals by Ramapo (1-9; 0-3 NJAC) in the fourth, Rowan tallied four, as Burke, Green and Horner finished out the scoring.
The Profs are back in action on Tuesday when they visit Rutgers-Camden.
