OWINGS MILLS, MD - Host team Stevenson broke a tie with four straight goals to hand Rowan (3-6) a 14-10 loss in women's lacrosse action this evening, despite three goals apiece from
Elise Cohan and
Julianna Corson.

Corson and
Molly Green scored the first two goals of the game but Stevenson (5-4) answered with four in a row to take a 4-2 lead. The Profs tied it in the second quarter, 4-4, with another from Corson while Green assisted on a score from Cohan.

Stevenson closed out the half with five of the last six goals, while Cohan scored another, to take a 9-5 lead at halftime.

Ashley Lechliter started Rowan's scoring in the second half with two of the first three goals, while Cohan and Green followed soon after. Corson had an unassisted tally with :28 left in the third quarter to pull the Profs within 11-10, before Stevenson's Kaitlyn Kozlowski netted one with :06 left in the quarter to give the Mustangs a 12-10 advantage.
Stevenson kept the Profs off the board in the fourth quarter while scoring two to provide the final margin.

Reilly Shaup made 14 saves in goal for Rowan as she faced 37 shots in the contest.

The Profs are on the road again on Saturday when they visit Cabrini.
