HAINES CITY, FL -  Rowan was edged by #19 Denison, 12-10, in women's lacrosse action at the Feltrim Sports Village, in a game that saw both teams exchange leads throughout, while wrapping up the Profs' two contests in Florida. 

Elise Cohan, Shannen Sterner, Julianna Corson, Jamie Cutrera and Erin Scioli were the multiple goal scorers for the Profs, with each netting two goals apiece.
 

After Rowan (2-5)  took a 3-1 lead early in the game, Denison forged ahead, 4-3, with 9:56 to play in the second quarter. The Profs answered with three straight goals by Sterner, Cohan and Corson to take a 6-4 lead with 1:29 left before halftime. Denison (4-3) added one more before time expired to make it a 6-5 game at the half. 

Denison netted the first two goals of the second half, with Michaela Donnelly responding for Rowan, and with Denison adding another for an 8-7 lead, Cutrera tied the game at 8-8. 

The Big Red scored fourth consecutive,overlapping the third and fourth quarters to build up a 12-8 lead with 10:52 remaining. Rowan put two more in, with goals from Erin Renshaw and Corson, but couldn't overcome the deficit. 

Rowan held a 34-27 advantage in shots, and goalkeeper Reilly Shaup made nine saves on the day 

The Profs return home from their  Spring Break trip and will host Scranton on Wednesday, March 23 at 6 p.m.
