GLASSBORO, NJ – The #12 Rowan baseball team will get the 2022 season underway on March 1 when it visits Swarthmore, with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m.

Rowan went 29-6 overall in 2021 and won the NCAA Marietta Regional while making the school's sixth appearance in the NCAA Division III College World Series.The Profs are the defending NJAC champions, having won the conference tournament and taking the regular-season crown with a 17-1 league record.

Mostrangeli and
Ryan Murphy (RF) were two of the Profs' top three hitters from last season.
Murphy (RF), who was named a 2022 D3Baseball Preseason All-America, hit .385 last year and led the team with 35 RBI, nine home runs and a .664 slugging percentage. Mostrangeli (LF/DH), an All-NJAC selection last year, batted .351 last season and drove in 26 runs while scoring 22. DiDomenico, who had a .996 fielding percentage, solidifies the infield and had 17 RBI and scored 17 runs last season.
Atiya and Zellman were two of the team's top starters last year and will be back on the mound. Atiya, a Preseason All-America selection, went 9-2 and had a 1.68 ERA while recording a team-high 72 strikeouts in 2021. Zellman, an All-NJAC honoree, recorded a 1.64 ERA and notched 47 strikeouts while posting a 5-0 record.
Among the newcomers to watch are Division I transfers
Dylan Maria (C, La Salle),
Anthony Schooley (IF, Villanova), and
Tyler Cannon (IF, Iona) along with 2019 junior college World Series MVP
Michael Miles (P, Rowan College of South Jersey-Cumberland).
The Profs will head to Virginia Wesleyan for a three-game series this coming weekend before going on their Spring Break trip to play nine games at the Russ Matt Invitational in Florida, March 10-18.
