MONTCLAIR, NJ – Montclair State scored all of its goals in the first half as the #13 Red Hawks defeated Rowan, 3-0, in NJAC men's soccer action this evening. The loss drops Rowan to 5-5-3 (0-2-2 NJAC).
Montclair State (9-1-3; 4-0 NJAC) scored just two minutes into the match to take the quick lead. The Red Hawks' Josiah Crawford took a pass from Owen Murphy and scored at 13:31. Crawford scored again just two minutes later to give the home team a commanding 3-0 lead.
Chay Kaplan played the first half in goal for Rowan, making two saves.
Dylan Aportela took over in the second half and posted four saves as Montclair State held an overall 22-13 advantage in shots.
The Profs return home from the three-game road swing to host Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday, October 12.
