Chad Yates scored the game's lone goal to lift third-seeded Rowan to a 1-0 win over sixth-seeded NJCU in the quarterfinals of the NJAC Men's Soccer Championship. The Profs, unbeaten in six straight matches, advance to play second-seeded Ramapo in the semifinals.
After a scoreless first half, Yates netted the gamewinner at 69:20 on a one-touch after a pass from
Turlough Gartlan. It marked the team-high 12
th goal of the year for Yates.

Dylan Aportela made five saves to record his sixth consecutive shutout, while the Profs outshot the Gothic Knights, 14-8.
After starting the NJAC season with an 0-2-2 record, the Profs rebounded to go unbeaten in the final five games of the regular season and now find themselves in the semifinals. Rowan is 10-5-4 overall.
Rowan will travel to Ramapo on Tuesday, November 1 for the NJAC Semifinals, with a start time of 2:30 p.m.
