Men's Soccer Plays to 0-0 Tie with Ramapo; Aportela Posts Second Straight Shutout

GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan and Ramapo played to a 0-0 deadlock in NJAC men's soccer action this evening as Profs' goalkeeper Dylan Aportela notched his second straight shutout. It's Rowan's fourth tie of the season, as the Profs are now 6-5-4 (1-2-3 NJAC).

Aportela made three saves on the evening as Ramapo (2-6-3; 2-2-2 NJAC) totaled 11 shots in the match, while Rowan took 16.

Both teams had scoring chances in the contest and Rowan had a potential goal disallowed due to an offsides call. Ramapo had two chances in the final three minutes but Aportela made a save on a shot by Martin Cadena, and then the Roadrunners missed one of their best opportunities with a shot that went high over the net.

The Profs head back on the road and will face TCNJ on Wednesday evening before returning to Glassboro to host William Paterson on Homecoming night, Saturday, October 22.
