MAHWAH, NJ -- Rowan powered past Ramapo Wednesday night in three sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-15) as the team hit a season-best .300 (45-12-110) to help stay unbeaten in NJAC play.
28 of those 45 kills were from
Natalie Ogden and
Brianna Newson with 15 and 13 respectively. Ogden also added 12 digs for her ninth double double on the season.
Jackie Camponelli and
Jena Kaul each served up three aces.
The Profs used big scoring runs in each set starting in the first, as an 11-2 spurt early on, followed by another 11-2 stretch closed out a 25-16 score. An 8-0 run in the second opened up a tie score (6-6) highlighted by Ogden's three kills and
Vanessa Hutchinson's three aces during the run.
It was more of the same in the third as the Profs trailed 4-1 before using an 11-1 explosion to regain the lead. The Roadrunners closed it to a 12-11 score before Rowan ran off 13 of the next 17 points to lock up the 3-0 road win.
Rowan is idle until Tuesday, October 18th when the team hosts New Jersey City here at Esbjornson Gym starting at 7 p.m.
