STATEN ISLAND, NY -- Rowan turned in a plethora of personal bests as well as a Division III record as the Profs went to the Great Dane Invite hosted by Albany at the Ocean Breeze Complex on Friday. There was no team scoring.

Amara Conte set an indoor Division III record in the 500 meters, clocking in at 1:03.71. His time breaks the old mark of 1:04.00 set by Cheickna Traore of Ramapo back in January of 2020. Conte later joined the 4x400 relay team of
Charlie Serrano-Juarez,
Nana Agyemang, and
Jah'mere Beasley for a Division III-best time of 3:15.19.
Agyemang ran a 6.98 in the 60 meter dash finals to hit an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) qualifying time. He along with Beasley hit those marks in the preliminaries as well with Agyemang at 7.05 and Beasley at 7.07. In the 200 meters, Agyemang clocked in at 22.13 which is third-best in Division III so far this season and hit an AARTFC mark.
In the 5k, both
Noah Cziryak (15:23.76) and
Keith Vantuono (15:37.05) each hit PR's, while in the mile,
Kevin Lauer's time of 4:17.19 was also a PR and an AARTFC qualifying time.
The team will compete in two events next weekend. On Saturday, February 5th, a handful of Profs will head to Ithaca College for the Bomber Invitational while others travel to Alvernia for the Plex Shootout.
