GLASSBORO, NJ -- The Rowan Women's Swimming & Diving Team captured the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship with a 157-139 win over The College of New Jersey on Saturday.
The Profs win their 14th overall title and fifth in the last six seasons as the team did not compete in 2020-21. The NJAC crowns its champions through regular-season competition among the schools. Rowan went 4-0-1 in NJAC action this season.

Individually, Rowan had two swimmers win three events each.
Veronica Alferez claimed first with a season-best in the 200 free (1:57.99) and also won the 500 free (5:19.28) while
Jordan McChesney hit a season-best time in both the 50 free (24.18) and the 100 free (52.80). Alferez and McChesney joined
Elizabeth Jones and
Kylie Salerno in the 400 free relay to clock in with a season-best time of 3:38.96.
Emma Padros and
Bella Stefanowicz captured two events apiece as well. Padros was victorious in the 1000 free (11:04.33), eking out a season best time, and the 200 backstroke (2:13.82) with Stefanowicz winning the 100 back (1:09.65), and putting up a season best time in the 200 breaststroke (2:31.18).
The team will host its final dual meet of the season on Saturday, February 5th, as the Profs welcome Merchant Marine to the Tony Lisa Natatorium.
