STATEN ISLAND, NY -- Rowan was back in action at the NYC Gotham Cup held at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Facility on Friday. There was no team scoring at the event.

Here are some highlights on the day:

- Amara Conte ran a 48.80 in the 400 meters to finish second
- Earnest Daniel recorded a 1.99 meter top mark in the high jump to also finish second
- Ahmir Johnson saw his first action in the triple jump, where he was third overall (14.78m)
- Marquise Young was third in the 60 meter hurdles final (8.32) after running an 8.56 in the preliminaries
- Jake Kolodziej took fourth in the 1000 meters (2:32.40)
- Nana Agyemang finished fourth (7.16 meters) in the long jump
- Conte, Beasley, Kolodziej and Treshan Stevenson were the Profs' entry to the 4x400 relay, where they were second overall (3:20.94)
- In the pole vault, Nick Rossi was in a three-way tie for seventh (3.95m)
- Jah'mere Beasley placed sixth in the 200 meters (22.27)
- The 4x800 meter relay team of Sean Eisenhower, Kevin Lauer, Jacob Riley, and Jeff Stewart was second (8:14.33)

The team heads back to Ocean Breeze next Friday to compete in the Great Dane Invitational hosted by Albany.
