YORK, PA – The 15
th-ranked Rowan men's soccer team ran its record to 3-0 with a 2-1 win at York College today. Freshman
Turlough Gartlan scored the gamewinner in the 52
nd minute, assisted by
Alex Ferrara. It was Gartlan's first goal of his collegiate career.
The Profs got on the board first with an own goal by York just seven minutes into the game. Gartlan then tallied his goal, with the assist from
Alex Ferrara, at 52:59 to give the Profs a 2-0 lead.
York got on the board with a goal in the 77nd minute.
Rowan outshot the home team, 17-4, and goalkeeper
James Weinberg didn't need to make any saves on the day.
The Profs will compete in the Jimmy Mills Tournament at Haverford College on the weekend, taking on the host team Haverford at 2:30 on Saturday.
