HAVERFORD, PA - The 15th-ranked Rowan men's soccer team (4-0) rallied with three straight goals to earn a 4-3 overtime win over Haverford in the Jimmy Mills Tournament.  Wilby Alfred scored two goals within a span of 27 seconds to tie the score and Aaron Robertson had the gamewinner in overtime. 

With the Profs trailing 3-1 early in the second half, Alfred scored his first at 67:23, taking a pass from Leo Montesinos and one-timing it into the top of of the net. Just 27 seconds later, the duo teamed up again as Montesinos sent a ball over the top that allowed Alfred to go one-on-one and scored at 67:50 to tie the score at 3-3. 

The teams went scoreless for the rest of regulation and just six minutes into overtime, Alex Ferrara sent a ball to Robertson who tallied the winning goal at 96:42. 

Haverford (0-3) got on the board early, at 12:42, with a goal by Paul-Andre Coulibay. Rowan tied it at 29:23 on a goal by freshman Luke Yates, which was assisted by his older brother, Chad. 

In the second half, Haverford put in two goals in a span of 35 seconds, by Luca Melo at 59:48 and Coulibay at 60:25. 

"We didn't play well today, but to be a great team you need to show heart and that you can win on your off days," said head coach Scott Baker. "Today we showed a ton of character coming back from two deficits (one goal and two goals) and scoring the golden goal in OT. We also had to overcome a few injuries, but these guys know how to win." 

The Profs outshot Haverford, 23-7, and Rowan goalkeeper James Weinberg made one save in the match. 

Rowan will play Washington College on Sunday at noon in a pre-determined pairing.
