RADNOR, PA -- A big second half helped guide Rowan to a 66-41 victory over Eastern at the Cabrini Classic on Thursday afternoon.
The Profs led by four at the half (24-20), but came out of the break outscoring the Eagles, 42-21, over the final two quarters to pick up the win.
Grace Marshall led all scorers with 21 points, hitting three of the team's five three-pointers and tying a career high with eight assists.
Nicole Mallard put together 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
For Eastern, Taryn Woodson and Sara Haas each netted 10 points. Woodson was also one player in double-digit rebounds with 18 (Mikalya Wright with 15).
Rowan opened the third quarter on an 8-0 run to go up 12 points. Later in the frame, the lead rose to 43-24 with just over a minute remaining. The advantage stayed in double digits in the fourth to help key the victory. The Profs also saw 37 turnovers, the most by an opponent this season, which led to 29 Rowan points.
The squad resumes action tomorrow as Rowan tackles the host Cavaliers, who claimed a 99-42 win over Rosemont earlier in the day, in a 2 p.m. tip.
