GLASSBORO, NJ -- The Rowan women's swimming and diving team posted a 110-45 score to improve to 3-0 on the season on Friday at the Tony Lisa Natatorium.
FINAL RESULTS
Elizabeth Jones won two events and teamed up in the 200 medley relay to notch a first-place finish. Jones was first in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.17) and in the 200 IM (2:23.35). Jones,
Kylie Salerno,
Bella Stefanowicz, and
Natalie Smith timed in 1:57.43 to win the 200 medley relay.
Smith and Stefanowicz also logged first place finishes for the Profs. Smith was victorious in the 100 butterfly (1:03.14) while Stefanowicz took the 100 backstroke (1:03.53).
Other gold medalists included
Gabby Buck in the 100 free (56.99),
Jordan McChesney in the 500 free (5:29.08), and
Veronica Alferez in the 200 free (2:02.42). The 200 freestyle relay team of McChesney,
Erin Quay, Salerno, and
Emily Nelson claimed first place as well (1:40.11).
For the Pioneers, Abigail Malandro took first in the 50 free (26.10) and was second in the 100 free (57.67).
The team will head to Montclair State for an NJAC meet tomorrow starting at noon.
