GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan's fall teams are in the thick of the postseason and with that, are among the ranked institutions nationally and regionally both by the various coaching associations and the NCAA. Here's what you need to know:
Field Hockey (15-2)
The Profs are currently ranked tied sixth in the Division III NFHCA Poll and are tops regionally in the latest NCAA Regional postings in Region IV. Rowan takes on Kean in the NJAC Championship here on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Volleyball (26-5)
Rowan's volleyball team remains in third in the NCAA Region IV, as one of four conference teams on the list. The Profs will host the NJAC Championship here on Saturday against Montclair State beginning at 1 p.m.
Men's Soccer (10-3-1)
The men's soccer team also stays at #3 regionally in the NCAA Region IV, just behind Montclair State, who they defeated in the NJAC Semifinals on Wednesday. With that win, the Profs travel to Kean for the NJAC Championship on Saturday at 5 p.m.
Women's Soccer (13-4)
In the NCAA Region IV rankings, the Profs slipped a spot to seventh but the squad took down Montclair State, ahead in fifth, in the semifinal round of the NJAC Tournament. Rowan now faces top-ranked and top-seeded TCNJ for the NJAC Title Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
Men's Cross Country
The team fell to fourth in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Metro Region poll. The Profs finished third at the NJAC Championships on October 30th.
Women's Cross Country
The squad enters the Metro Region poll at ninth. Rowan also finished in third place at the NJAC Championships. Both the men's and women's teams are gearing up to host the NCAA Metro Regional on Saturday, November 13th.
