Lowry, Rhym, Dorsey, Evick, and Doderer Earn Weekly Honors by the NJAC

PITMAN, NJ -- Alexis Lowry, Arrington Rhym, Mason Dorsey, Kate Evick, BethAnne Doderer were all honored by the New Jersey Athletic Conference in its weekly awards program for the week ending March 29th.

Lowry is named the NJAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career. The junior attack player had three goals in #18 Rowan's 12-10 road win over #13 Franklin & Marshall including assisting the eventual game-winning goal by Elaina Corson with five minutes to play. The junior ranks second on the team in scoring with 23 goals and six assists.

Rhym scored the NJAC Men's Track & Field Field Athlete of the Week award as his top effort in the high jump (2.06 meters) at Widener's Danny Curran Invitational over the weekend tied a PR outdoor best and currently ranks him tied for #3 in Division III.

Dorsey was named the NJAC Baseball Offensive Player of the Week, earning NJAC honors for the first time in his career. In four the wins, the senior outfielder batted .571 (8-for-14) with four runs, five RBI and two doubles. He went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a double, which was a two-run shot, in the 11-2 win at Swarthmore. In the 19-0 win over Cairn, Dorsey was 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI and a double. The team co-captain helped the Profs record a sweep of Ramapo in the conference opener, going a combined 5-for-7 with two runs, two stolen bases, and an RBI.

Evick picked up the NJAC Softball Player of the Week as the senior batted .545 (6-for-11) with 3 RBI, two doubles, a walk and a .727 slugging and .583 on-base pct (1.310 OPS) in a 3-1 week. On Wednesday, she went 2-for-3 with an RBI double in game two at #25 Eastern. Evick followed that up with a 3-for-3 performance with an RBI double and a walk in a game one win over Montclair on Sunday. Evick, a catcher, threw out a runner in two stolen base attempts as well.

Doderer was selected the NJAC Softball Pitcher of the Week after posting a 2-0 record with an 0.00 ERA in 13 innings of work as the sophomore totaled just two unearned run on six hits, three walks, 14 strikeouts, and an .140 opponent batting average. The sophomore spun a three-hit shutout to earn a split at #25 Eastern (4 K, 2 BB). She then followed that up with a career-high 10 K's in the 8-2 NJAC victory over Montclair in game one of the doubleheader on Sunday.

Women's Lacrosse (7-2), now ranked #15, is in the midst of a four-game winning streak and will host Catholic on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Men's Track & Field will see action in two events this weekend; first is the Embry-Riddle Running Elements Classic in Daytona Beach, Florida and the Ursinus College Springfest.

The #13 ranked baseball team (12-2, 2-0 NJAC) starts off this week with a non-conference game at home on Tuesday against John Jay, and then hosts Stockton on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The Profs will then return the game at Stockton on Friday before playing a doubleheader at Montclair State on Saturday.

#10 Softball (17-5, 2-0 NJAC) takes on two NJAC opponents this week. On Tuesday, the Profs travel to Stockton for a doubleheader (2:30 p.m.) and will hit the road again on Friday in a twinbill matchup at Kean (1:00 p.m.)
