GLASSBORO, NJ --
Kaitlyn Crouthamel,
Ella Pennington, and
Braden Sheehan were cited by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on its Scholar All-American Team.
The CSCAA has named over 2,230 swimmers and divers to its Scholar All-American Team presented by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps for the 2025-26 season. Collectively, the Spring 2026 Scholar All-America Teams recognized 714 teams from 418 institutions for their outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester, representing over 16,680 student-athletes from across all collegiate divisions.
To qualify for CSCAA First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met an NCAA 'B' qualifying standard for the national championship.
Both Crouthamel and Pennington qualified for the Division III Championships where Crouthamel swam in two events and Pennington raced in three. Pennington earned an All-American honor with her fourth-place finish in the 100 backstroke. The duo also combined for 11 total all-conference awards from the NJAC. Pennington additionally garnered spots on both the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District and Philly-SIDA All-Area Academic Teams.
Sheehan recorded an NCAA 'B' cut and a school record in the 200 IM at the NJAC Championships. The junior also earned four NJAC All-Conference accolades and a spot on the CSC Academic All-District Team.
The trio also represents the Rowan men's and women's swimming teams on the CSCAA Spring 2026 Scholar All-America Teams. The squads were selected on the basis of the GPA in the spring and were required to achieve a team GPA of 3.00 or higher to earn the recognition.
The women's team boasted a team GPA of 3.70 with the men totaling a 3.12 team GPA during the spring semester.
