PITMAN, NJ – Rowan's
Arian Azemi has been named the NJAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for November 22. Azemi, who is in his first year after transferring to Rowan, scored a career-high 41 points and tied the school record with nine three-pointers as the Profs defeated Marymount, 119-108, in the home opener on November 17.
By halftime, the guard had scored 33 points and connected on 9-of-11 from behind the arc. He finished the contest shooting 13-of-21 from the field.
Azemi's three-point field goals made ties the record for threes in a game that is also held by Nick DePersia, from January 30, 2019 against Stockton.
The Profs are 3-0 and have scored 100-plus points in all three games thus far. Rowan opens NJAC play on Tuesday, November 23, when it travels to TCNJ.
