UNION, NJ -- Behind a career-high 24 kills from Natalie Ogden, Rowan was able to complete a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play with an exciting 3-2 win (25-14, 26-28, 18-25, 25-16, and 18-16) at Kean Wednesday evening.

The Profs trailed 2 sets to 1, winning the fourth and would have to earn every point in the deciding fifth as the teams battled through five lead changes and 10 ties.

Ogden was one of three Profs in double-figure kills and one of six in double-digit digs. Simone Sparano totaled 24 digs with Ogden adding 18. In the kill department, Brianna Newson kicked in 16 and Isabel Kirchner with 10.

With 49 assists and 14 digs, setter Brooke Adams joined Ogden (24 kills/18 digs) and Newson (16 kills/10 digs) in registering double-doubles for the Profs.

Ashley Smith paced the Cougars with 17 kills with teammate Anne Beckemeyer chipping in 11 kills and a match-high five blocks.

Ogden put down five kills in the fourth to help Rowan force a fifth set where her and Newson combined for 11 of the teams 13 enders in the final frame. The match came to an end when Ogden put down her sixth of the set en route to the 3-2 win.
