Men's Soccer Shuts Out Rutgers-Camden, 3-0, in Regular-Season Finale

Profs to host Stockton in NJAC First Round on Saturday

CAMDEN, NJ – Leo Montesinos scored his first goal of the year and it helped the Rowan men's soccer team record a 3-0 win over Rutgers-Camden in the NJAC regular-season finale. The Profs (10-3-1) have earned the fourth seed in the conference tournament with a 5-3-1 record and will host fifth-seeded Stockton on Saturday at 6 p.m.
 
James Weinberg made two saves in the match as he recorded his fifth shutout of the year.
 
Montesinos headed in a thrown-in by Luke Yates at 22:22 to open up the scoring for the Profs, who held a 1-0 lead at halftime.
 
Rowan added another early in the second half as Wilby Alfred tucked a shot into the left post, after taking the pass from Chad Yates.
 
Amias Colestock netted his first goal of the season at 82:13, with Brett Guetens handing out his first assist as the Profs closed out the scoring.
