GLASSBORO, NJ - The Rowan men's basketball team opens its defense of the conference title when it begins play in the NJAC Championship Tournament on Saturday, February 22, in a First-Round matchup at Ramapo at 1 p.m.

The defending champion Profs, 14-11 overall and 10-8 in the league, earned the sixth seed in the tournament, while Ramapo (15-10; 11-7) is the third seed. The winner will advance to meet No. 2 Stockton (17-8; 14-4) in the Semifinals on Wednesday, February 26 at 7 p.m.

The other First-Round game pits No. 4 New Jersey City (13-12; 10-8) at No. 5 Rutgers-Newark (14-11; 10-8) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The winner will visit top-seeded TCNJ (17-8; 14-4) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Rowan has won five in a row, and six of its last seven, heading into the postseason. The Profs are led in scoring by seniors
Jerry Price (14.8 ppg),
Maliq Sanders (13.6) and
Austin Kearney (12.4), with
Diante Bah topping the team in rebounding (7.2).

Tickets for Saturday's game at the Bradley Center are available at the door - $5 for adults and $2 for students, senior citizens and children.

The championship game is set for Saturday, Feb. 29, at the highest remaining seed. The winner will earn the NJAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
