SCRANTON, PA – The Rowan University women's volleyball team was defeated by SUNY Geneseo and the University of Scranton at the Scranton Tri-Match on Saturday afternoon. The losses even the Profs' record to 7-7 (0-1 NJAC).
Rowan went to five sets with Geneseo, falling 21-25, 25-22, 20-25, 22-25, and 15-9, in the opener.
Kailey Gallagher and
Megan Jacobi had 10 kills apiece for the Profs.
Simone Sparano posted 19 digs and
Tori Mock had 16.
The Profs fell in three straight to the host team in a tight battle with identical set scores of 25-22, 25-22 an 25-22.
Natalie Ogden had nine kills for Rowan while
Alaina Santacroce and Emma Cormicari each had two service aces. Julie Bowes led the squad with 19 digs.
The Profs return home on Tuesday, September 24 to take on Ramapo University for their first NJAC home match of the year.
