CHICAGO, IL – The Rowan University men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie with seventh-ranked University of Chicago on Friday evening. Both teams were credited with goals early in the first half but neither could find the net throughout the rest of the match and the two overtime periods.
Rowan (3-1-1) got on the board first at 5:18 on an own goal by Chicago (2-0-3). The Maroons then scored the equalizer at 29:26 on a goal by Richard Gillespie

James Weinberg made five saves on the evening as Chicago held a slight 7-5 advantage in shots.
It was Rowan's second overtime contest of the year as the Profs defeated Carthage College, 4-3, two weeks ago.
The Profs will remain in Chicago and visit North Park University on Sunday.
