Women's Lacrosse Rolls To 21-6 Win At Ramapo

MAHWAH, NJ – The Rowan University women's lacrosse team rolled to a 21-6 conference win at Ramapo College on Saturday afternoon.
 
Attack Maddie Bray (sr. Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) scored five goals and attack Jess Havers (jr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) followed with four. Bray also had an assist. Midfielder Liz Kramer (sr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) totaled nine points with three goals and six assists.
 
Attack Mikala Gillespie (sr. Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) contributed with three goals and two assists.  Attack Ashley Lechliter (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.) added two points, one goal and one assist.  
 
Midfielders Taylor Gretz (sr. Woolwich Twp., NJ/Kingsway Reg.) and Julia Grlica (so. Jefferson, NJ/Jefferson Twp.) and attacks Dara Hennessy (so. Marmora, NJ/Ocean City) and Elise Cohan (fr. Far Hills, NJ/Bernards) and defender/midfielder Kerriann Harrington (so. Mahwah NJ/Suffern (NY)) all had one goal. Goalie Reilly Shaup (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) made three saves.  
 
Kramer compiled nine draw controls and Gretz registered eight. Gretz picked up five ground balls and broke the school's career record (183).  She has a career mark of 185.  Gretz also holds the Rowan career records for draw controls (258) and caused turnovers (99).
 
The Profs are 8-4 overall and 3-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners have a 6-5 record and they are 0-2 in the conference.  Rowan was ahead 13-3 after the first half.  
 
For Ramapo, attack Shannon Eagan (so. Toms River, NJ/Donovan Catholic) and midfielder Gabi Davidson (sr. Oradell, NJ/River Dell) each scored twice. Eagan also had an assist. Midfielder Molly Warner (sr. Ocean Twp., NJ/Ocean Twp.) and midfielder/attack Nicole Jaskot (jr. Ringwood, NJ/Lakeland) produced one goal apiece.  Midfielder Beth McGraw (sr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) assisted on two goals.
