GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's lacrosse team defeated Cabrini University, 22-12 on Saturday afternoon.

Maddie Bray (sr. Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) led the Profs with seven goals and two assists. Attack
Elise Cohan (fr. Far Hills, NJ/Bernards) contributed with four goals and midfielder
Liz Kramer (sr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) followed with three. Attacks
Mikala Gillespie (sr. Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) and
Julia Stumpf (jr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) each added two goals.

Julianna Corson (fr. Hainesport, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) and midfielder
Taylor Gretz (sr. Woolwich Twp., NJ/Kingsway Reg.) chipped in with one goal and one assist apiece. Midfielder
Shannen Sterner (fr. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) scored one goal and midfielder
Julia Grlica (so. Jefferson, NJ/Jefferson Twp.) had an assist. Cohan, Kramer, Gillespie and Havers all registered an assist.

Emma Frost (sr. Washington, NJ/Warren Hills Reg.) made five saves. Kramer compiled 15 draw controls. Rowan has a 5-3 record while Cabrini is 5-6 on the season.
For the Cavaliers, attack/midfielder Avery Murphy (sr. Paoli, PA/Archbishop John Carroll) totaled five goals. Midfielder Ashley Tutzauer (so. Toms River, NJ/Toms River N.) produced two goals and two assists. Attacks Lauren Hughes (jr. Audubon, PA/Methacton) and Dana Carlson (fr. Springfield, PA/Springfield) each hit the net two times. Attack/midfielder Shea Neary (fr. Logan Twp., NJ/Archbishop Carroll) scored one goal and midfielder/defender Emma Rodner-Tims (sr. Exton, PA/Bishop Shanahan) had an assist.
Goalie Sam Hamalak (fr. Aston PA/Garnet Valley) stopped 14 shots. Murphy collected five ground balls, five draw controls and four caused turnovers.
In the first half, Tutzauer had a free position shot (22:02) and tied the score at three. The Profs answered with four straight to lead 7-3 with 14:11 remaining. Kramer scored two goals while Stumpf and Bray each had one. Stumpf's goal (5:33) made the score 10-4. Cabrini ended the period with three goals to cut the deficit to three (10-7). Murphy tallied two and Hughes added one.
The Profs started the second stanza with a 4-0 run to lead 14-7 at 23:59. Bray recorded the first two goals while Sterner and Havers each followed with one. The Cavaliers trailed 14-10 (16:43) after scores by Hughes, Tutzauer and Murphy. Rowan led 19-10 (10:35) after five unanswered goals. Corson (9:24) and Cohan (7:42) each scored for a 10 goal advantage (21-11). The teams exchanged goals to end the contest. Carlson had an unassisted goal (4:46) for Cabrini and Cohan scored with a free position shot (3:07) for Rowan.
Rowan is home again on Tuesday, April 2 against the University of Scranton at 7 p.m.
