Matt Green scored a team-high 19 points to help Rowan to an 84-74 win over Salisbury in non-conference men's basketball action. The win ended a four-game losing streak for the Profs (4-4).
Green shot 7-for-14 from the field and made five three-pointers while
Austin Kearney added 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting, along with a team-high 10 rebounds.
Connor Dickerson scored 13 points and
Jerry Price added 11 for the Profs.
Diante Bah was 4-of-6 for nine points while grabbing seven rebounds.
The Profs led by double digits a few times in the second half, but fought off a Salisbury comeback, as the Sea Gulls took a brief lead, 66-65, with over eight minutes to play. But Rowan responded with back-to-back three-pointers from Green that pushed the Profs' lead back to five, 71-66. Kearney added another three that increased the lead to 74-68 while a pair of free throws and a three-pointer by Dickerson at 1:02 gave Rowan an 80-70 lead to ice the win.

In the first half, Rowan led by as much as eight points, 36-28, after Green hit back-to-back threes, and took a 40-33 lead into halftime.
Rowan connected on 11-of-31 three-pointers in the game while the Profs held Salisbury to 7-of-31 shooting from beyond the arc.
The Profs are off until December 29-30 when they participate in the Randolph-Macon College Coaches Tournament, taking on Dickinson College in the first round.
