IMMACULATA, PA –The Rowan University women's basketball team increased its win streak to six games with a 77-62 victory at Immaculata University.
The Profs had five players that scored in double figures. Guard
Grace Marshall contributed with 15 points and guard
Alexis Kriley followed with 14 points and seven boards. Guard
Nicole Mallard chipped in with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Guards
Paige Caldwell and
Savanna Holt added 11 and 10 points off the bench respectively. Center
Ayanna Johnson grabbed a game-high 17 boards and blocked eight shots.
The Profs are 9-1 overall while the Might Macs drop to 4-7 on the season. Guard/forward Theresa Kearney produced a game-high 23 points and guard Morgan Falcone had 13 points and six rebounds. Guard Jordan Rook dished six assists and guard Meghan Ricker compiled five steals. Forward Brielle Rigo pulled down 15 rebounds.
Rowan had the lead for the entire game. The first quarter ended with the Profs ahead 19-10. Caldwell's free throw made the score 15-3 with 2:02 remaining. Immaculata followed with a 7-4 run to close the period. Kearney scored all seven points.
Rowan started the second stanza with a 12-5 surge for a 16 point advantage (31-15) at 2:25. Five different players registered points. The Profs were ahead 36-21 at the intermission. Kearney finished the first half with 14 points while Kriley totaled 10.
The third quarter ended with Rowan ahead 64-41. Holt's layup at the 53 second mark put the Profs up by 26 points (63-37). The Mighty Macs outscored the Profs 21-13 in the fourth. Marshall made a layup (4:04) to lead 73-52. Immaculata followed with a 10-4 run for the final score. Falcone totaled five points, Ricker hit a three and Kearney sank two foul shots.
