Santana Scores 28 Points To Lead Women's Basketball Over Stockton, 94-65

GLASSBORO, NJ – Forward Eliana Santana scored a career-high 28 points to lead the Rowan University women's basketball team over Stockton University, 94-65.
 
Santana also totaled six rebounds and three steals. Guard Nicole Mallard produced 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.  Guard Savanna Holt chipped in with 12 points off the bench and guard Grace Marshall added 10.  
 
Center Ayanna Johnson grabbed a game-high 16 boards. Guard Kennedy Brown recorded a career-mark with 10 assists while guard Alexis Kriley tied her career-high with six steals.
 
The Profs are 7-1 overall with a four-game win streak.  They are undefeated in the New Jersey Athletic Conference with a 4-0 mark.  The Ospreys are 4-4 on the season and 1-3 in the conference.
 
Guard Lajerah Wright led Stockton with 19 points and 10 rebounds.  Guard Hailee Porricelli contributed with 11 points and guard Emily Donzanti followed with 10.  Donzanti dished seven assists and had four steals.  Forward Kiley Gelston registered seven points and seven steals.
 
Rowan was ahead 18-13 going into the second quarter. Holt, Brown and Santana each hit a three-pointer to lead by 14 (27-13) at 7:37.  Santana's two foul shots (3:27) made the score 36-18.  Forward Ionyonia Alves had a layup and the Ospreys trailed by 12 (37-25) at 2:02.  The Profs closed the period with a 7-2 run to lead 44-27 at the break.  Mallard sank a three, Santana had a jumper and Kriley made two free throws.  Santana scored 12 points in the first half.
 
In the third period, Donzanti made a free throw and the score was 51-33 (7:31).  Rowan pulled away with a 15-3 surge for a 30-point advantage (66-36) with 2:42 left. Five different players scored in the run.  Porricelli's three ended the third and the Ospreys were down 69-46.  Rowan's biggest lead of the game was 31 points (94-63) after Mallard had a layup with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
