Men's Basketball Outshot by Stockton, 93-72

GLASSBORO, NJ – Stockton led from the start and made 14-of-29 from three-point range en route to a 90-72 win over Rowan in NJAC men's basketball action at Esby Gym.
 
Kyion Flanders led all scorers with 22 points on 9-for-12 shooting, while also hitting 4-of-6 three-pointers for Stockton (6-2; 4-0 NJAC).
 
Jerry Price led Rowan (3-4; 1-3) with 16 points, while Matt Green scored a career-high 13 and Ryan O'Leary had a career-high 11 points.
 
Stockton came out firing from the start, making four of its first five three-point attempts to stake a 20-11 lead. After Rowan pulled within 24-20, Stockton used a 10-2 run to build up a 34-22 lead with 5:34 to go in the half. The Ospreys held a 14-point lead at the break, 48-34, as they connected on 7-of-10 from three-point range in the half.
 
Rowan had the same approach at the start of the second half, and made 4-of-6 three-pointers, including two in a row by Maliq Sanders, to trim a 17-point deficit to just eight, 54-46.
 
After consecutive Rowan misses, Jordan Taylor connected on a long-range shot to push Stockton's lead back to double digits, 57-46.
 
The Profs used seven straight points from Green to close to 62-55 with 12:41 to go, but Flanders scored five straight and the Ospreys used three straight three-pointers to build the lead up to 76-55 with 10:03 remaining. Stockton maintained a 20-plus point lead for almost the entire final 10 minutes to earn the win.
 
Stockton finished the game hitting 50 percent (36-for-72) from the field and 48.3 percent from beyond the arc while Rowan was 11-for-37 from three-point range.
 
Rowan now goes on the road for five straight over the holidays and returns home in the New Year, on January 8, when it hosts William Paterson.
