GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's swimming & diving team defeated host William Paterson University, 130-75.
Rowan won the 200 medley relay in 1:57.42 with
Veronica Alferez,
Bailey Howarth,
Kylie Salerno and
Jordan McChesney. The Profs have a 3-1 record and they are undefeated in the New Jersey Athletic Conference with a 3-0 mark. The Pioneers are 5-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
Salerno took first (2:05.58) in the 200 freestyle. McChesney swam a winning time of 25.22 in the 50 free.
Taylor DeGennaro had a first place (5:39.69) in the 500 freestyle.
Abigail Brous was the winner in the 200 individual medley (2:17.58) and 100 butterfly (1:00.02).
Corinne Finkbinder won the one-meter diving (262.42 points) while
Klaudia Rzotkiewicz took first on the three-meter board (250.12 points).
Nicole Harms finished in 58.85 for first place in the 100 freestyle.
Brianna Gutierrez won (1:04.26) the 100 backstroke and
Megan Miller was the winner (1:10.74) in the 100 breaststroke.
Rowan took first through third in the 1000 freestyle.
Lindsay Cave was the winner with a time of 11:29.34 followed by
Jordan Jones, second (11:30.54) ad
Dahlia Getsos, third (12:07.85). In the 200 freestyle,
Abbi Schick and
Claire McKissick were second (2:07.95) and third (2:11.09) respectively.
Next, Rowan hosts conference opponent Ramapo College on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. The divers travel to West Chester University on Saturday, Nov. 16 to compete at 2 p.m.
