GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's swim team won 190-72 over Ramapo College in a conference meet.
The Profs are 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners have a 2-2 record with a 0-2 conference mark.
Rowan took first place in the 400 medley (3:32.86) and 200 freestyle (1:25.56) relays. The medley relay included
Kevin Gillooly,
Matt Grubb,
Jake Kayati and
Dylan Regan. Regan, Kayati,
Tyler McDonald and Gillooly were on the freestyle relay.
Gillooly swam a winning time of 21.34 in the 50 free and he was first in the 100 freestyle in 47.73. Grubb touched first (58.32) in the 100 breaststroke while Kayati claimed first (52.73) in the 100 butterfly.
McDonald was the winner (1:45.27) in the 200 free and he had a second place (4:53.68) in the 500 freestyle.
Kevin Yanagisawa touched first (1:58.51) in the 200 butterfly followed by Kayati, second (2:01.43) and
Tanner Debus, third (2:04.39). Yanagisawa also won (4:52.50) the 500 freestyle.
Matt Smits won the 1000 freestyle in 10:10.83 and 200 backstroke with a time of 2:01.70.
Jack Freeman came in first (55.21) in the 100 backstroke while
Matt Schillaci was third (57.11). In the 50 free,
Dominick Sheppard and
Ben Wiley were second (22.35) and third (22.87) respectively. Sheppard also had a second place (48.91) in the 100 freestyle.
Joe Rucci took second (2:03.04) in the 200 individual medley.
Kyle Printon finished second (54.16) in the 100 butterfly and Wiley was third (56.24). Rucci finished third (10:23.73) in the 1000 freestyle while Printon had a third place (1:46.76) in the 200 freestyle.
Matt Maretic came in third (49.50) in the 100 freestyle.
Christian Termine had a third place (2:07.38) in the 200 backstroke and
Greg Cann was third (2:15.12) in the 200 breaststroke.
