Maliq Sanders scored a game-high 24 points to help the Rowan men's basketball team to an 85-54 win over Lehman College in the opening game of the Susquehanna Trailways Tip-Off Tournament. The Profs (2-0) advance to Saturday's championship game on 3 p.m. against Susquehanna.

Sanders shot 9-for-18 from the field and made 6-of-13 three-pointers for the Profs.
Jonathan Hevalow added 13 points on 4-for-5 shooting while both players grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Â

Lehman held a 31-28 lead at halftime and was then up by as many as eight, 36-28, early in the second half. But Rowan went on an 11-0 run, ending in a three-pointer by Sanders, to take the lead for good, 39-36. The Profs then expanded the advantage to 49-40 advantage at 14:02, after threes by
Jerry Price and Sanders and free throws from
Connor Dickerson.

Rowan broke it open and used a 17-3 run, with eight points from
Jonathan Hevalow, to take a 66-43 lead at the midway point of the second half.

The Profs increased it to a 30-point lead, 77-47, on another basket by Hevalow with 7:13 to play.

The teams shot an identical 11-for-33 from the field in the first half, but Rowan hit 18-of-35 in the second, while holding Lehman to just 8-of-34 shooting.
In the other first-round game, Susquehanna beat King's (PA), 77-61.
