GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan volleyball team ended NJAC regular-season play with a 3-0 sweep of Rutgers-Newark in Esby Gym, for the Profs' fourth straight win and their seventh consecutive conference victory.
Rowan, which has won each of the last four matches in straight sets, posted scores of 25-16, 25-19 and 25-14 to improve to 17-14 on the season and 7-1 in the NJAC.
Cassidy Abdalla had nine kills and hit .429 on the evening while
Natalie Ogden also added nine kills and 11 digs for the Profs.
Lauren Horbacewicz connected on eight kills with a .500 hitting percentage while adding three blocks.

Tori Mock recorded 32 assists and
Simone Sparano posted a team-high 12 digs for the Profs.
Rowan led from the start, building up a 16-7 lead in the first set and eventually winning, 25-16. The Profs were in control most of the second set as well, leading by 15-10 and then finishing it out, 25-19. Rowan trailed for just a short time in the third set but after taking a 9-6 advantage, would hold the lead the rest of the way and close out the match, 25-14.
The Profs now await the seedings to be announced for the NJAC Championship Tournament, which begins with the first round on Tuesday, November 5 at campus sites. The semifinals will be held on November 7 with the final taking place on November 9, all at campus sites. RowanAthletics.com will be updated once the tournament bracket is finalized.
