GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan volleyball team closed out the regular season by defeating Cabrini, 3-0, for its fifth consecutive win, while senior
Kailey Gallagher and junior
Tori Mock recorded career milestones.
Gallagher finished the match with eight kills to surpass 1,000 kills for her career while Mock had 32 assists to go past 2,000 assists in her career.
Natalie Ogden had 11 kills and a .313 hitting percentage to lead the Profs while
Simone Sparano had 18 digs and
Jackie Camponelli added 13.
Rowan (18-14) won the first set, 25-20 and pulled out a tight second set, 25-21. In the third, Rowan took a 9-5 lead and never looked back, running up nine straight points to take a 17-5 lead and closed out the match winning 25-8.
The Profs are the second seed in this week's NJAC Championship Tournament and have received a first-round bye. Rowan will host the semifinal against the winner of the first-round match between #6 Rutgers-Camden and #3 Kean on Thursday, November 7 at 7 p.m. at Esby Gym.
