ARNOLD, MD – The Rowan University men's soccer team rolled past Roanoke College on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 3-0. The Profs move to 4-2 on the year, while the Maroons drop to 3-2.

Kyle Dennis (sr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) stood strong on the goal line and saved the shot on frame. The Profs responded three minutes later when forward
Shane Doherty (sr. Delran, NJ/Delran) scored off the assist from back
Matt Fahey (so. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown), to take a 1-0 lead. Both teams battled it out for the rremainder of the half, but the score stayed the same heading into intermission.
The Profs controlled the game for the final 45 minutes of play. Rowan pulled ahead, 3-0, after forward
Ryan Campbell (sr. Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo) scored twice less than one minute apart. The first goal came in the 64th minute, when Campbell received a long pass from back
Will Sjaastad (sr. Allentown, NJ/Allentown) that he chipped in over the Roanoke keeper. His second goal came 24 seconds later after he collected a breakaway pass from midfielder
Kevin Primich (jr. Hamilton, NJ/Allentown), that he put into the back of the net.
The Maroons gave a valiant effort in the final 10 minutes when forward Liam Camilleri (fr. Cary NC/Panther Creek) and back Tim Leuenberger (fr. Basel, Switzerland/Freies Gymnasium Basel) ripped three total shots, but were all turned aside by goalie
Joe Magiera (fr. Garfield, NJ/St. Benedict's Prep) to hold onto the win, 3-0.
Dennis played the first 79 minutes in net and racked up three saves, while Magiera saw action for the final 11 minutes totaling four. For Roanoke, goalie Zach Behe (fr. High Point, NC/ High Point Central) played the full-time, stopping four shots.
The Rowan men's soccer team travels back home to open conference action against William Paterson University on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m.
